The Greater Caribbean Islands

These islands are amazingly beautiful by any standard, warm, year-round destinations. The most popular time to visit in general is from December 15 through the end of April. Some islands popular with honeymooners can see high visitation during the summer months as well. From mid-April through mid-December, is typically less busy. This time can be an ideal time to visit due to fewer crowds, more availability, and cheaper prices, although hurricanes can sometimes pose a threat.

Airfare prices follow a similar pattern in general; however, airfare for some islands can be more expensive during the summer due to reduced flight schedules. The Governor Gore Bird Sanctuary on Little Cayman is a wonderful place to see a variety of bird species, and the Cayman Island Turtle Farm has thousands of turtles, many of which can be picked up and held.
Bahamas

Some of the most popular day activities are snorkeling, shopping, scuba diving, fishing, and golfing.

The Bahamas may be known for great shopping and ialso known for their beautiful landscape. Underwater beauty abounds at any of the islands' incredible offshore spots for snorkeling and diving. Everyone can find a fantastic spot for snorkeling. The are many different tours that will take you to some of the best spots and best of all the cost for this adventure is low.

Caribbean townFishing is another popular activity for the nautically inclined. Charter boats are often available with a captain to take anglers out to popular fishing spots. And with so many fishing spots available, there's plenty to do. The bonefish in shallow flats, or spend some time reef fishing are two fun activites to give a try. Those looking to hook something bigger can try deep see fishing not far from shore.

On land, sports fans can paly a game of golf. With many courses, especially on Paradise Island and Grand Bahama, travelers are never far from a great game. In fact, with PGA pro tour stops in the Bahamas, travelers are assured of some of the world's best golf courses. So bring your clubs.
